Graphic medicine, a term initially coined to name Dr. Ian William's website, evolved and became a way to explore healthcare and disease in graphic form (Czerwiec et al., 2015). Using graphic novels' visual and narrative power, graphic medicine explores personal and professional experiences in health, illness, and caregiving. It opens conversations around complex medical topics, humanizing healthcare and fostering empathy.
